2013 Favorites by Misfit Librarian on Grooveshark

2013 has been an interesting year to say the least. I've had all the wonderful things I've mentioned above happen, as well as some pretty shitty things. But you have to take the good with the bad and here's hoping 2014 is just as good or better than 2013.

Stay safe today and enjoy your New Year's Eve! I'll talk to you in 2014.

January Photo-A-Day...

Here is the photo a day list Fat Mum Slim made for January...
How to take part in January photo-a-day:

2. Share it on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #FMSphotoaday You can also share on your blog or on Facebook ... or even keep the photos privately for yourself.
3. Check out other people's photos and like them or comment on them.

I'm A 90's Bitch...

Since I'm feeling a little bored I decided that I'd do the "90's Kid" survey that has been floating around the interwebs forever (You might have seen people doing it in YouTube videos, etc.). But Misfit, you were born in 1985... Well according to Urban Dictionary a 90's Kid is defined as...
90's Kid noun \ˈnīn-tēs\ \ˈkid\
A person born between January 1, 1982 and December 31, 1991 who lived more than half of their childhood (years aged 3-12) in the glorious decade of the 1990s. Some people born slightly before or after that range might consider themselves 90s kids too as long as they can remember part of their childhood in the 90s. This demographic would have enjoyed the golden age of Nickelodeon shows, the Disney Renaissance, Goosebumps books, tamagotchi, beanie babies, and Sega Genesis/SNES and later PlayStation/N64. Kids born in the late 90s are under the mistaken impression that they're 90s kids because they were simply born in the decade even though they have no real memory of living in it.
1. Favorite TV Show
Oh, I loved Are You Afraid of The Dark (1990-1996) and all of the T.G.I.F. shows.

2. Favorite Toy
My imagination...

3. Favorite Commercial
The Pizza Hut Pizza Head commercials were pretty awesome

4. N'Sync or Backstreet Boys
N'Sync all the way!

5. Weirdest Fashion Trend
I don't think any of them were too weird...

6. Favorite Collectables
Pogs (Which I found while I was packing my bedroom to move), Spice Girls stickers from the lollypops and slap bracelets.

7. Favorite Beanie Baby
Nuts the Squirrel.

8. How Many Tamagotchi's Did You Go Through?
Only one during the 90's, but I had a another similar toy that turned into a dinosaur. When they were rereleased Justin bought me one as a gift and it's floating around my parent's house somewhere.

9. Favorite Game Console + Game
Super Nintendo was by far my favorite console and I loved Super Mario World, Aladdin, Donkey Kong County and B.O.B. to name a few.

10. Favorite Disney Channel Original Movie
Technically "Disney Channel Original Movies" started in 1997 when I was twelve. I did watch a handful of them because my sister is younger than I am, but the Disney Channel movies that I remember enjoying were Susie Q. (1996) and Wish Upon A Star (1996).
11. Favorite Music Artist
Oh, I loved me some pop music. I was a huge Hanson fan. I loved N'Sync, Spice Girls, etc.

12. Favorite Nick Jr. show
Nick Jr. started in 1999 and I was fourteen, so I wasn't watching Nick Jr. I did watch Eureeka's Castle (1989-1995) and some other kiddie shows on Nickelodeon.

13. Favorite Candy
Spice Girls Chupa Chups and Big Slice Pops.
14. Favorite Game (Board Game, School Game, Etc.)
At school we played Suicide a lot (Suicide is game played with a tennis ball and a wall).
Gameplay
The object of the game is to be the last remaining player. In order to stay in the game, players have to avoid being "pegged" out.

When the game begins, a player throws the ball against the wall. If the ball bounces off the wall and then hits the ground, other players are free to grab the ball and re-throw. If the ball is caught by another player before it hits the ground, the player who threw the ball must run and touch the wall. Until he touches the wall, he is "open" to be "pegged" (i.e. struck hard with a thrown ball) by the player who caught it.
15. Favorite McDonald's Happy Meal Toy
I'm gonna have to go with the Beanie Babies, but they were nowhere near as awesome as the
McDonald's fast food transformer toys from the 80's.
16. Favorite Book
I love love loved Goosebumps by R.L. Stine and The Babysitter's Club by Ann M. Martin.

17. Favorite Clothing Store
Oh, I didn't care about clothes in the 90's. I wore horrible sweatsuits that my mom put me in.

18. What Would You Watch When You'd Get Home From School?
You could probably catch me watching any of the following... Sailor Moon (1992-1997), So Weird (1999-2001), Eerie, Indiana (1991-1993), Ghostwriter (1992-1995), Space Cases (1996-1997), Aaahh!!! Real Monsters (1994-1998), Animaniacs (1993-1998), Darkwing Duck (1991-1995), Doug (1991-1994), Goosebumps (1995-1998), Beetlejuice (1989-1991), Captain Planet (1990-1996), Gargoyles (1994-1997), Goof Troop (1992-1993), Legends of the Hidden Temple (1993-1995), Rocko's Modern Life (1993-1996), Nick Arcade (1992), Tiny Toon Adventures (1990-1993) and honestly the list could go on and on.

If any of you guys are 90's kids and you fill this out lemme know because I'd love to read your answers.
