For those of you that haven't heard of Rosé Mansion, it is an Instagramable pop-up experience that boasts that they are "making all of your Rosé dreams come true" this summer.
Here is a blurb about Rosé Mansion from their website:
This summer we’re making all of your Rosé dreams come true. Wander the rooms in the mansion while sipping Rosé from around the world. Each room will transport you to a different place and time. Along the way you will learn about the history, science, and economics of this magical beverage. We got to the city a little early so that we could go and have some ramen at the new Midtown location of Ichiran, which was just as delicious at the Brooklyn location and all of the Ichirans that I visited while in Japan.
Travel to Ancient Rome, stop by the Finger Lakes, blend your own wine, swing from a gold chandelier, and more before you end your journey in the greatest Rosé wine bar on the planet.
Buy a ticket for a specific date and time. All tickets include entrance to the experience and wine samples equaling about two glasses of wine. Additional glass, bottles, and snacks are available for purchase in the Grand Tasting Lounge. Must be 21 years old to enter.
After eating away more ramen than we should have (We were all super gluttonous and had extra Kae-Dama [Noodle refill] because we got coupons for a free one), we headed towards Fifth Avenue and the glorious pink door of Rosé Mansion.
We got there a tad early, so we wandered around a few of the shops before going in for our 1:00PM ticketed time.
The entire experience took us less than an hour and was beyond underwhelming.
Don't get me wrong, I love me an Instagram pop-up experience but this one was super disappointing. The lighting inside of the venue was was terrible and it was hot as balls inside. Like we were all sweating, which doesn't make for a cute Instagram picture.
Honestly, I don't think that it was worth the $35.00 we paid (We ordered our tickets early, so we got the tickets at a discounted price) for the eight 1oz pours we got in our flimsy cups.
Brands Sampled:
Lekker Rosé
Maison Marcel
Osmote Rosé
Casteller Cava Rosé
Apothic Rosé
Domaine Houchart Rosé
Vetrere Azienda Agricola San Salvatore Rosé
Despite being disappointed, I will commend them on their crowd control and wonderfully sweet staff.
So yeah, I don't think any of the three of us would recommend this pop-up experience to our friends. It was a great idea but poorly executed.
After all of that we walked over to Calle Dao to have cocktails because we weren't about to spend $40+ on the bottles of wine that were in the "Grand Tasting Lounge" at Rosé Mansion.
Once we finished our super delicious cocktails (Which got us all a little tipsy), we headed back to the Long Island Rail Road to go home because we were over being in the city.
