Photos From The View...

For those of you that don't know, when you typically go to a taping of a television show they don't allow you to take photography of any kind. Well, The View (1997-Present) is different they actually lets you take pictures during commercial breaks with regular point and shoot cameras. So I did and here are some of the pictures I took throughout the course of the taping I was at...

Tickets To The View & Lunch In NYC...

Yesterday I went to a taping of The View (1997-Present) with my mother, sister and a friend at the ABC Studios in New York City. And I must say, I had a great time and would totally recommend going if any of you have the opportunity to do so -- You can sign up here for tickets. I warn you it takes a year or so for them to get back to you and invite you to a taping.

Like for every other TV show taping I've attended, we got to the studio super early to wait outside on line for hours before actually being let into the building, where you wait for even longer. And once it was almost time for the taping to begin they let us up to the set to be seated and as we walked in they gave us snacks (Chex Mix Muddy Buddies in Confetti Cake and cranberry juice). Which I thought was really awesome of them because not every show you go to gives you something to eat.

After we were seated we listened to the warm up comedian do his thing and tell us what we could and could not do throughout the course of the taping. And then it started.

We had the opportunity to attend a show with all four hosts and tons of guests. Darby Stanchfield from Scandal (2012-Present) co-hosted and they had on Wendy Williams who was talking about her book,  Susan Lucci, Ana Ortiz and Roselyn Sanchez from Devious Maids (2013-Present) and Steve Schirripa from Karma's A Bitch (2013- Present).

It was a pretty good line up and we got a bunch of free stuff. They gave everyone in the audience a copy of Ride Along (2014), the Wendy Williams book "Hold Me in Contempt" and the first season of Devious Maids (2013-Present) on DVD.

Once the show was done taping Sherri and Darby answered a few questions and then we shuffled out of the studio.

At that point we were all hungry and we went on a mission for food. After wandering around we gave up on the area we were in and just went downtown to Cafeteria because we all like the food there and it's always yummy.

When we were done with lunch we decided that we were all tired and that we should just all go back home. So we jumped on the subway, headed back to Penn Station and took the LIRR home.

It was a nice little day out.

Stuck In My Head: Sound Of Da Police...

Yesterday I went to a taping of The View (1997-Present) and while we were there they gave everyone in the audience a copy of the Ice Cube and Kevin Hart movie Ride Along (2014). And if you've seen a trailer for the movie in the background you hear part of the 1993 song "Sound of Da Police" by KRS-One and literately I just have "Woop-woop! That's the sound of da police! Woop-woop!" on a loop stuck in my head.

So yeah, I don't actually know any other part of this song but it's kinda sorta stuck in my head...


Is that weird? Does this happen to you guys?

Taping Of Bethenny...

Since getting back from Ocean City on Monday I've been crazy tired, thus a lack of significant posts and why I haven't mentioned to all of you that on Tuesday morning I got to go to the taping of the premiere episode of Bethenny (Which airs on Monday, September 9th on FOX) -- It's also one of the reasons I've been exhausted because I had to wake up at 4:30am to get ready and go.

I don't want to go into too much detail about the show since it's new and all, but what you do need to know is that it was a blast. I'd highly recommend going to a taping if you can snag some tickets (Which are free and you can attempt to get by clicking here).

How You Doin?!...

I went to yet another television show taping today with my mother, sister and a friend. We headed into the city for a taping of The Wendy Williams Show. So, if you watched her show today you may have seen me.

I had so much fun. I think that it was the most fun I've had a television show taping. It was like going to a party. If you have a chance to go you should totally do it. I'm so going back if I can get my hands on some more tickets.

After the show we headed over to Cafeteria (Just like last time after Rachael) for lunch.

We stuffed our faces with yummy yummy food and then we headed back to Long Island because we were all dead tired. Honestly, I passed out for several hours on the couch after I got home and I could totally go back to sleep right now.

Have You Pet Anderson Cooper Today?...

So, I went to my second television show taping this week today. I went into the city with a few of my friends to see Anderson Live.

We had to wake up super early to do so because we were given the opportunity to go to an advance screening of a new movie before the actual taping of the show (Which turned out to be a show and a half).

While we were at the taping people who work for the show were asking if anyone had brought anything for Anderson or if they had something to ask/tell him and well I was sent there with a mission a la "Leslie" so I raised my hand. I told them that I have a 60-year-old coworker/friend who is an agoraphobic lesbian who asked me, if I could, to pet Anderson. They got a kick out of this and actually told Anderson, who asked me about it on camera and let me touch his hair and he hugged me. So yup, I got to pet and hug Anderson Cooper. Lets see if it ends up on tv.

After the taping was done we all hopped in the car and drove back to Long Island as quickly as we could because I had to go to work. When I got into work "Leslie" (Whom I had texted earlier) had mentioned to a bunch of people in the library that I might have gotten to touch Anderson, so I had a lot of questions and people squealing about it.

So out of all of the tapings I've been to this year Anderson Live was hands down my favorite and I'd totally request tickets to see him tape again. If you have a chance to go, I'd totally recommend it.
