Trolls World Tour At Home Premiere Party Guide

As you may or may not know, I'm a big fan of the movie Trolls (2016) thanks to Toni's kids forcing me to watch it one day while I was at their house years ago. And because of that, I am way more excited than I probably should be for Trolls World Tour (2020) to be available On Demand this Friday, April 10th.

Like, I'm so excited to watch Trolls World Tour on Friday that I'm going to try to get my sister and my cousin (Who are both also very excited for the movie but actually have children to watch it with) to have a Trolls World Tour Zoom party with me.

Thankfully I don't have to do much in terms of trying to figure out what we should do before and after the movie because someone's already done all of that. And because I'm a librarian who loves to share information, I thought I'd share it with all of you in case you're looking to throw a Trolls World Tour party too...

YOUR GUIDE TO A “TROLLS WORLD TOUR”
WATCH AT HOME PREMIERE PARTY

First and foremost you need some decor... So grab the kiddies and create some fun DIY Trolls props and decorations that’ll bring your at-home premiere experience to life! Bring out your artistic side by learning how to draw your favorite Trolls with Director Walt Dohrn and Animator Tim Heitz, make your very own Tiny Diamond glasses, or select from several coloring pages to bring color to your big night! If you’re looking for more insporation check out other fun crafty ideas here.

Once everything is decorated you'll need to get your snacks in order. So grab some colorful fruits, veggies, candy treats and of course popcorn for everyone to enjoy! If you have time and really want to rock it out in the kitchen check out these fun recipes that are sure to impress.

After the snacks are all sorted out you need to figure out your outfits (If you've been around for awhile, you know that I love costume parties and themed occassions). Have some fun putting together Trolls-inspired looks for the whole family! There are plenty of characters to choose from including: Poppy, Branch, and new characters like Barb, Tiny Diamond, Tresillo and many others that all represent different genres of music. Glam up from head to toe and for the adventurous, learn how to color your hair Trolls style! Check out all the characters there are to draw inspiration from!

And personally I think this should all be done while rocking out to the Trolls and Trolls World Tour soundtracks, which are both currently available for streaming on Apple Music and Spotify (For other listening options click here).

Once you've got everything set up and everyone is dressed, go enjoy the movie! Trolls World Tour will be available On Demand with Spanish-language SAP option through Xfinity and Apple TV and also available on Prime Video, Google Play, Fandango Now and Vudu. For more details go to WatchTrolls.com.

So, what do you think? Are you as pumped as I am to watch Trolls World Tour on Friday? Are you going to throw a Trolls inspired party? Lemme know!

This post was kinda sorta sponsored but not really because I didn't actually get anything to post this and I love Trolls.

Lisa's Baby Shower...

For those of you that may or may not know, my cousin Lisa is pregnant. So this past weekend my sister, mother and I attended her baby shower which was thrown for her by her sister-in-law.

As you can see from the pictures below it was your typical baby shower with food, games, present opening, photo booth props and lots of pink because she is having a girl (Whose name she revealed to us at the end of the party).
Despite me not being big into things like this (I'm not a fan of showers of any sort and I had Lisa's baby shower this past weekend and I'm throwing my sister a bridal shower this upcoming weekend) I had a really nice time but most importantly, Lisa loved it. So it was a good day.

How do you feel about showers of any sort? Love them? Hate them? Lemme know.

Day's Halloween Party

Saturday night Day had her now annual Halloween party at her and Erin's apartment. And as in the past we had a theme, comic book villains (We just love being bad guys). So just about everyone showed up as some sort of DC comic villain -- Phil and Rob came dressed up as Eleven and Joyce from Stranger Things (2016-Present) but because they looked amazing we forgave them for not adhering to the theme.

We spent the evening drinking, eating, taking dumb photos and just bullshitting until we decided to go to one of the local bars to party it up with the rest of those celebrating Halloween that Saturday night.

It was a great night. I absolutely love getting dressed up for Halloween and doing stuff with my friends.

LatinTRENDS Dominican Influencer Event...

Last night I had the pleasure of attending LatinTRENDS magazine's Dominican Influencer Event Which was a celebration of influential Latinos who are giving back to the community and breaking barriers) at The Attic Rooftop & Lounge in New York City with Day and Chas as my dates.
While I was at the event I had the pleasure of being introduced to Elizabeth Chalas Berman the President and CEO of Continental Food and Beverage Inca Kola USA, who was just the nicest and most inspiring person. It was just so uplifting to meet a Latina who was in charge of such a big company and to see how she loves to give back and inspire others.

I also got to meet actress, director and cultural activist Alicia Kaplan who I was chatting with before the event actually started.

In addition to those whom I had the honor of meeting, there were tons of other influencers at the event including:

● DJ Lobo
● Francisco Diaz President of American Association of Latinos in STEM (AALSTEM)
● Cenia Paredes Fashion designer and creator of Cenia Fit with a collection available at HSN
● Juan J. Camilo Founder and owner of Dyckman Beers Co.
● Wilton Cedeno Director of Energy Policy & Regulatory Affairs for Con Edison
● Angela Fernandez, Esq Executive Director of Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights & Chair of the Board of Directors of the
                                                             Dominican Parade

It was a great evening with amazing people and I am so glad that I was able to attend.

Fourth Of July Weekend...

As did the majority of the country, I celebrated 'Merica with my friends and family this weekend. So here is a recap of my Fourth of July weekend...

We started off the weekend by having a beach day on Saturday. Myself, Justin, my sister, Day, Erin and some other friends hit up the beach for basically the whole day before getting tired and semi-parting ways.
After the beach Day and I went shopping for the party at Toni and Tom's house the next day. So we went to a bunch of different stores looking for clothing, food, drinks and party supplies before we got crazy hungry and picked up Justin (Who had taken his own car to the beach and when straight back to our apartment once we were done there) to get dinner. We went to our favorite little taco place and then out for a few drinks before calling it a night.

Sunday we threw an inappropriately named/themed party (Which if you follow me on Snapchat, you know all about) and even though there were only six of us, we had the best time ever. Like really, I cannot tell you how much fun Justin, Day, Toni, Tom, Amanda and I had just bullshitting, drinking and eating lots of food.
The actual Fourth of July was a really low key day because Justin and I had partied hard the night before (Justin more so than me but I am always cool with being lazy), so we kinda just stayed in bed all morning and then hung out like bums in our apartment for the rest of the day.

So yeah, that was my Fourth of July weekend. I hope you all had an awesome Fourth! And I would love to know what you did and how you celebrated.

Tonight Tonight | New Years Eve Plans...

Tonight is the night, New Years Eve and I don't know about you guys but I don't have any crazy plans for this year's festivities. Just a chill little party at Toni and Tom's house with the normal suspects.

I mean, we'll obviously have tons of food and drinks because the bunch of us don't know how to not cook a crap-ton of food or drink in moderation when we are together. So the possibilities of a shit show and/or craziness in terms of us being us are there. Especially since the kiddies have all been sent to their grandparents' houses (No fake Netflix countdowns for us).

Day says that she has a ton of yummy cocktails lined up for the evening and that I should bring my camera over for a belated New Years Eve edition of Day Drinking. So stay tuned for that.

In addition to Day's drinks I know the rest of us are making a bunch of appetizers that we will probably eat as we bullshit with Pitbull's New Year Revolution playing in the background because we totally aren't  Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest kinda people. Plus why wouldn't we wanna see a show that has Pitbull hosting along side Terry Crews and Wendy Williams, with performances by Puff Daddy and the Family, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Prince Royce, Austin Mahone, R. City, Pia Mia and Earth, Wind & Fire. It's more our type of thing than watching Ryan Seacrest with Carrie Underwood performing (I do enjoy me a little bit of Carrie but she doesn't scream party to me).

So yeah, those are my plans for this fine evening. I'm looking forward to a nice night in with my friends. Especially since I have to wake up semi-early the next day to drive to Vermont with my sister for "Favorite Page #1's" wedding. Which I will tell you all about as soon as I'm back home.

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe New Years Eve! I'll talk to you next year!

Halloween 2015

As you all know Halloween was last Saturday and even though I wasn't feeling it the week leading up to it, I got into the spirit the day of after running around with Day and helping her set up for her party.
We started off our Halloween by going to our favorite nail salon and getting our nails done, we followed that up with a trip to Michael's to pick up odds and ends to put the finishing touches on her costume, then we went to pick up a bunch of liquor to make drinks for the party, then we stopped by Amanda's to pick up some decorations she had, ate a quick lunch at a little panini place in town and then headed back to her apartment to set everything up and get ourselves ready.

We got the apartment decorated relatively quickly (Erin was with us at this point), so we started getting some drinks ready -- We made Angry Balls shots which is Angry Orchard and Fireball Cinnamon Whisky mixed together, as well as a concoction we called Witches Brew which was a combination of Deep Eddy Ruby Red Vodka, sparkling wine, grapefruit juice and mint simple syrup -- and drinking some drinks. And around 5:00PM we started getting ready.
Unfortunately forty-five minutes into me doing Day's makeup we realized that the two types of body paint she bought sucked and she had to go take a shower, then we had to come up with a new game plan and start all over again. Thankfully the second time was a charm and her pretty Ursula makeup came out amazing.

Once I was done with her makeup I moved on to Erin's devil makeup and then my own, which looked good but because I couldn't find a brown dress to wear as my costume the whole look I was going for didn't end up happening. And instead of pretty Scar I looked more like a Jersey Housewife dress like a cat, whatever.

Eventually everyone trickled into the party and we had a grand old time pre-gaming before we decided it was time to hit up one of the local bars and dance the rest of Halloween (And then some) away.

I love Halloween and hanging out with my friends, so it was a great night. I can't wait until next year.

LatinTRENDS 100th Issue Event...

Last night I had the honor of attending LatinTRENDS' 100th issue event in New York City at Stage 48.

The event was hosted by Roselyn Sanchez from Lifetime's Devious Maids (2013-Present), Odalys Molina from Telemundo and J.W. Cortés. There was an amazing performance by Top Stop Music artist Leslie Grace, who just so happens to be the youngest woman to ever top Billboard's Latin Airplay chart (I'll put some of her music below in case any of you are interested and feel like dancing the bachata). There was a buffet, hors d'oeuvres and an open bar with cocktails from Absolut, which my sister and I took full advantage of.

I can't even begin to explain how much fun my sister and I had. It would probably be easier for me just to show you...
Be My Baby by Leslie Grace on Grooveshark
I really had an amazing time and met some equally amazing people (Sarah & Martha). I hope LatinTRENDS just keeps hitting those milestones as it continues to be a source of pop culture with a Latin twist (And that I get invited to more bad ass parties).

Party People In Instagram & Vine...

Saturday night I went to a party at one of my friend's houses and since it was your typical (Hawaiian themed) house party I figured I'd just post the Instagram pictures instead of writing about it...

Going Away Disaster...

Since my sister's boyfriend joined the National Guard and is going to be away at basic training/boot camp for the next four months out of state, my sister planned an informal going away party for him at one of the local bars on Saturday night.

It all started out fine. A handful of us pregamed and BSed at our house for a while before heading over to the bar and meet up with all of the other people. We're all drinking, dancing, having a good time.
But then the chaos began. My cousin and my sister were about to take a picture and this good looking dude jumps in, putting his arms around both of them. My sister's boyfriend see this and gets pissed. He goes up to my sister to say something and then they both get into a fight. He storms out of the bar, my sister runs to the bathroom. People are trying to talk to him and calm him down. People are trying to talk my sister down. It was chaos.

For what seemed like an eternity we were all running around the bar trying to deal with them. There was screaming, crying, people almost being kicked out of the bar and everything else you could possibly think of going on.
Somehow this all ends up outside. There is more screaming, crying and running around. Eventually they stop arguing and sit down to talk to each other. At some point while this is going on they both wander off and I didn't know until hours later where they ended up. So that was the end of that...

After dealing with them I ended up being dragged to another local bar by Erin, my cousins and a few of their friends (I can't tell you how much I didn't want to be there). So I'm trying to make the best of the whole thing and I'm thinking the night is getting a tad better and then it all went downhill again.

Erin wasn't feeling well (She was super drunk) and she asked Pat and I to step outside with her. Pat starts smoking and then two bouncers walk outside and tell us we can't smoke there. I move away even though I don't smoke and Erin, who was holding on to this ledge, tells the guys she isn't smoking. They insist she move. She says no. They threaten to call the cops. She tells them to go ahead because she isn't moving. I'm trying to keep the guy from touching her and I'm insisting she moves, which she didn't want to do. I grab her and tell her to move because I didn't feel like going to jail, she reluctantly moves but asks both guys their names.

After getting their names she walks back in to the front entrance of the bar and I just knew she was going in to complain to her cousin who was bartending -- She did, he got pissed with them and she realized what she did and told him not to worry about it, that she was just gonna leave.

While all of this is going on Pat and I are trying to find her in this packed bar, since we couldn't find her we walked over to my cousins and hung out with them for a bit until we got a phone call from Erin saying she was down the block. We walked over to her, she told us about telling her cousin and then she asked to go home. So we hopped in Pat's car and he started to drive us home. Seeing as she was drunk she got nauseous while we were driving. Thankfully Pat had a plastic bag in the car, because she started vomiting not five minutes after I handed it to her.

They dropped me off first because Erin's car was at my house and she wanted me to give her the keys to it so her parents wouldn't have to deal with mine in the morning. I gave her the keys and the rest of the stuff she had in my house and said goodnight to them.

I cannot tell you how happy I was to be home after that cluster of a night. I swear I'm not going out with them for a long long time. I can't deal with another night like that any time soon.

Bachelorette Parties & The Day After...

Saturday night I went out for my friend's (Whom I've known since middle school) bachelorette party and boy, we had a great time...

Like every other evening out it started when I finished getting ready (While listening to the sweet playlist I made) and got a ride over to the house where we were all meeting up. When I got there everyone there was still in sweats not dressed eating pizza, but it was cool because they quickly got dolled up and we had ourselves a little photo shoot before it was time for us to leave.

Naturally since it was a bachelorette party we had tickets to see a "male review" at a place called Hunk-O-Mania in New York City and plans to do a little bar hopping after that. Since we're all so classy we took a limo in and on the ride there we played little games like "How Well Do You Know The Bride" and "Never Have I Ever" obviously while drinking -- It was a fun ride over.

We got to the place were the "male review" was on time, yet we still had crappy seats and we couldn't really see the stage but we all didn't seem to care. We drank, danced in our little corner, got inappropriately touched by waiters in little underwear, constantly asked if we wanted "dances" and such, etc. It was fun but not because of the men in tiny underwear, they were actually really annoying and way too touchy for my liking.

After the Hunk-O-Mania show we piled into the limo and my one friend started telling the driver where we decided we were going next and the guy started telling us that it wasn't on the list of places for him to drive us. We started arguing with him about how we never had a list of places to go and that we were only ever asked about our start and end locations.

Obviously we got him to drive us where we wanted to go and that place was a bust, so we all hopped back into the limo and had him drive us to another place. Which is where we ended up staying the rest of the night getting free drinks from random dudes, doing body shots, having fourth meal and just having a grand old time.

I honestly don't know what time we got back from the city, but we all ended up scattered in our friend's house (Some passed out, others not). Erin and I stayed there for a while before her sober self drove my drunk self home, so we could sleep in our own beds.

Considering all of the tomfoolery that went on the night before I actually woke up pretty early Sunday. After chugging an entire carton of orange juice, showering and getting dressed I headed back over to my friend's house to hangout and check on how everyone else was feeling -- Everyone was feeling exactly like you'd expect someone to feel after partying the night before, but thankfully there was no vomit.

All of us just hung out at the house on the couches for a long time. We talked, had breakfast, looked at the terrible photos we took the night before that we all promised would never go up for the World to see, etc. Eventually at some point in the afternoon people started trickling out (Including my friend who lives in the house) and since a few of us had plans later on in the evening to go out to the restaurant Phil works at on Sundays we actually stayed a bit longer, still BSing.

Mid afternoon we decided it was finally time to leave so we picked up Erin and went out for a snack (Which was silly because we had plans to go to dinner, but whateves). While we were there enjoying our food my cousin Nick shows up with my friend's brother (They Facebook stalked us) and we all sat in this little restaurant talking loud and annoying the other customers. After tons of dirty looks we parted ways with the boys and took the scenic route to the restaurant.
When we got there the place was packed which sucked because we were going there so Chas could see Phil since she was only in New York for two days and he had to work. Despite him not being able to really talk to us we had a nice time and we actually made plans to hang out with him after he got off. So after we were done eating I drove our one friend home and Erin, Chas and I drove to Phil's apartment to hang out. We were there until 1:30am planning group trips, reminiscing about high school (June is ten years since we graduated -- We feel so old), eating cookies and a whole bunch of other good stuff. It was late to hangout on a work night but we all had a great time.

I cannot tell you how exhausted I am from this weekend, but it is totally worth it because it was awesome. I had the best time out with the girls and I was so happy to see Chas, even though it was for less than 48 hours. I can't until we're all together again.
