Sunday Social...
1. What Is Your Favorite Movie Of All Time?
This is such a hard question. I love The Godfather (1972), Halloween (1978), Clue (1985), The Goonies (1985), Eurotrip (2004), etc.
2. What Is Your Favorite Movie Quote?
I am constantly quoting Mrs. White from Clue (1985) whenever someone does something stupid.
3. What Is The Best Movie To Watch For A Girls Night In?
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002) is always fun for a girls night in.
4. What Is The Best Breakup Movie?
I actually did a post a while back ("Breaking Up Is Hard To Do...") that featured a bunch of break up movies. Here are the movies I had on that list...
Personally, I think the first one I would choose to watch would be The First Wives Club (1996).
5. Who Would You Want To Play You In A Movie About Your Life?
Maybe a younger Janeane Garofalo.
6. Which Movie Star’s Closet Would You Want To Raid?
Hmmm... Kelly Osbourne even though she isn't a movie star.

Despicable Me 2...
Last night I had the opportunity to go to an advance screening of Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me 2 (2013) which is the sequel to the 2010 film Despicable Me.
Since I was given a plus one I brought along my sister (Which disappointed Erin a little bit, thus causing her to tell my sister that they have to take turns going to future press screening with me if I am fortunate enough to get invited to any more) who was super psyched to go with me because she loved the original. So the two of us headed into New York City, had a quick dinner and headed over to the theater to see the movie in all of its 3D glory -- I really enjoyed the 3D on this one and I'm not typically a fan of movies done in 3D, like I normally avoid seeing anything in 3D but this one was great.
First I have to start out by saying that I absolutely enjoyed Despicable Me 2 and more so than the original (Which I had seen in the theater with Justin and his sisters when it came out back in 2010). The original was cute and all, but at the time that the movie came out I felt like the trailers gave too much away in terms of the funny scenes which bothered me. But I feel the complete opposite with Despicable Me 2. I really believe that Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment did a much better job not giving all of the humor away in the trailers with this one and I really appreciated that as a movie goer.
Speaking of the trailer..
Chris Meledandri and his acclaimed filmmaking team create an all-new comedy adventure featuring the return of (former?) super-villain Gru (Steve Carell), his adorable girls, the unpredictably hilarious Minions...and a host of new and outrageously funny characters.
Genre: 3D-CG comedy adventure
Cast: Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Benjamin Bratt, Miranda Cosgrove, Russell Brand, Steve Coogan, Ken Jeong, Elsie Fisher, Dana Gaier, Moises Arias
Directed by: Chris Renaud & Pierre Coffin
Written by: Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio
Based on Characters Created by: Sergio Pablos, Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio
Produced by: Chris Meledandri, Janet Healy
I really enjoyed Despicable Me 2 and so did my sister. It was cute, funny and everything that one would expect/want out of an animated 3D film. The only regret I have is the fact that I couldn't bring more people with me to see it because I feel like Justin's sisters and my friend's daughter would have absolutely loved it (You could tell that all of the kids that were in the theater couldn't get get enough of it). I guess I'm just going to have to tell them how great it was (They are going to be totally jealous) and make sure that someone takes them all to see it in the upcoming weeks.
Despicable Me 2 gets an A+ from me and I hope we get to see more in the furture of Gru, his adorable girls and the unpredictably hilarious Minions (Who are getting their own movie in 2014)!
Lemme know if you go see it when it comes out July 3rd and what you thought!

1. Bring the two cups of vegetable stock (You can use chicken stock if you'd like) to a boil
2. Add one cup of quinoa to the boiling stock
3. Cook for about fifteen minutes or until the liquid is absorbed
4. While the quinoa is cooking chop up half of the red onion and set aside
5. Once the quinoa is cooked put into a container
6. Add chopped red onion, the juice of one lemon, a tablespoon of olive oil & black pepper to taste
7. Mix everything together and put in the refrigerator over night

Miss Indie's Summer Fun Photography Challenge...
Back in February Mandy over at Miss Indie did this really cute 'Fourteen Days of Love' photo challenge and she's doing a summer themed one for the month of July, so I thought I'd repost about it in case any of you would like to give it a shot.
The Conjuring...
When I went to New York Comic Con last October I attended a press conference for the upcoming movie The Conjuring (2013) which will be out July 19th, but because of Hurricane Sandy and all the chaos that came along with that I never ended up posting about it. Since the movie is coming out in a few weeks and because I totally loved the synopsis, what the actors had to say at the press conference, etc. I figured better late than never.
Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, "The Conjuring" tells the horrifying tale of how world renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse.
Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.
From New Line Cinema comes a feature film drawn from the case files of married demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. "The Conjuring" stars Academy Award® nominee Vera Farmiga ("Up in the Air," "Orphan") and Patrick Wilson ("Young Adult," "Prometheus") as the Warrens, and Ron Livingston (HBO's "Band of Brothers") and Lili Taylor ("Public Enemies") as Roger and Carolyn Perron, residents of the house.
Joey King ("Crazy, Stupid, Love"), Shanley Caswell ("Detention"), Haley McFarland (TV's "Lie to Me"), Mackenzie Foy ("The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn") and newcomer Kyla Deaver play the Perrons' five daughters, and Sterling Jerins (upcoming "World War Z") is the Warrens' little girl, Judy.
James Wan ("Saw," "Insidious") directs from a screenplay by Chad Hayes & Carey W. Hayes ("The Reaping"). The film is produced by Tony DeRosa-Grund, Peter Safran and Rob Cowan, with Walter Hamada and Dave Neustadter serving as executive producers. Reuniting with the director are members of his "Insidious" creative team, director of photography John Leonetti, editor Kirk Morri and costume designer Kristin M. Burke, and his "Saw" production designer, Julie Berghoff. The music is composed by Joseph Bishara.
New Line Cinema presents a Safran Company / Evergreen Media Group Production of a James Wan Film: "The Conjuring." Opening July 19, 2013, the film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
I don't know about you guys, but this is totally my kind of movie. I love ghosts and paranormal investigations, so I'm definitely going to go see this one in theaters and I'm going to bring my mother who likes everything I listed above also.
What do you guys think? Is The Conjuring your kinda movie? Do you enjoy ghosts and all that stuff?
