365 Days Of Pictures: Day 315...

"Favorite Page #1" and "Favorite Page #3" napping after dealing with too many books.

Goodbye Pages...

It's that time of year when all of the Pages are either returning to college or heading there for the first time, so to say goodbye I took them out for coffee and snacks. It is always so sad when they leave, I hate having to deal with new Pages that don't know what they are doing and that I have no emotional connections with -- I really do love my Pages and we are all very good friends despite the age difference (Which is between four years "Favorite Page #2" & eight years "Favorite Page #3"). Not seeing them during the week is gonna suck because I have more fun with them than I do with the majority of the rest of the staff but they'll be back eventually.

Misfit Masterpieces...

Below you saw the pictures that "Favorite Page #3" left on my desk for me, well she ended up doing them because she saw all of the watercolors and felt tip pens on my desk from the drawings that I did throughout the course of the day. Here is the artwork I did today...

As you can probably tell I drew this one while I was sitting around doing nothing
in "Julia's" stupid program that I ended up getting stuck with for the summer.


This one I drew/painted on a little piece of canvas.
It looks much cooler in real life. Scanning did nothing for it.

Gifts Pour Moi...

It's almost that time of year when the Pages either are getting ready to go away to college for the first time or back for another year. So because she is about to leave for her first year at college "Favorite Page #3" drew/painted me a picture to leave under my blotter and I figured I'd scan it and show it to the rest of the world.

In addition to getting pictures today, "Favorite Page #1" left me a package of Little Miss & Little Mr stickers. I put them all over the chaos that is the cardboard covering my actual desk -- Yes, for those of you wondering about all the crap on my desk, it is all painted on pieces of cardboard that I have taped down because I do a lot of painting and artsy crafty stuff from the comfort of my desk.

Misfit To The Rescue...

As I was sitting in Starbucks with "Favorite Page #3" waiting for "Favorite Page #1" to arrive (We were gonna have late birthday coffee) I got a phone call from Erin saying that she and Maria were stuck on the side of an industrial road because they ran out of gas. I appologized to "Favorite Page #3" and asked her to tell "Favorite Page #1" I was sorry and give her the mini cupcake I bought her.

I drove to where they were stuck, busted out my emergency kit (Thanks Mom!!), got out the gas can, had the girls jump in my car and we got some gas but not without a little chaos. I filled up the weird collapsible can and couldn't get the cap on, so I ended up getting gas all over me (I still smell like a gas station after washing my hands 50 million times) and my car -- As I was struggling with the can Erin was taking pictures.

Eventually Maria went inside the station, got some one that worked there and he tried to help, but we ended up having to buy a new gas can (Which Maria ended up giving to me as a gift for helping). I drove them back to the car, filled up the tank with whatever gas was left in the new gas can and followed them as they drove back to the gas station and filled the car up.

It was so ridiculous and funny. I'm glad I was able to save them.

Return Of "Favorite #1"...

"Favorite Page #3" and I went over to "Favorite Page #1's" house to surprise her because it was her first day back from her first year away at college. I picked up lunch and cookies for everyone and we waited at her house until she got back. She was happy and surprised to see us -- We threw confetti at her as she walked in. After lots of hugs, we all ate lunch and we talked for hours before she had to go run errands with her mother. I'm so happy she is home and I can't wait for her to come back to work.

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee, Coffee...

"Favorite Page #1" came back from college for the week so she, myself and "Favorite Page #3" spent the evening coffee shop hopping. We went to two different coffee shops and had various teas & coffees. At the first shop we had sweet stuff (pie, s'mores, brownies, etc.) and at the second one we had savory stuff (nachos, hummus, etc.) -- It was a fun evening. We had a great time talking eating and drinking. I love my Pages.
