Movie Trailer | The First Purge

The trailer for the newest addition to the Purge movie series, The First Purge (2018) was recently sent to me and because I thoroughly enjoy all of the Purge movies I thought that I'd share it with all of you...

Behind every tradition lies a revolution. Next Independence Day, witness the rise of our country’s 12 hours of annual lawlessness. Welcome to the movement that began as a simple experiment: The First Purge.

To push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community. But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the marginalized, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation.

Coming off the most successful film in the series, The Purge: Election Year, creator James DeMonaco (writer/director of The Purge, The Purge: Anarchy and The Purge: Election Year) returns alongside the producers of this worldwide phenomenon: Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (Insidious series, Get Out, Split), Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ouija series, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and DeMonaco’s longtime production partner, Sébastien K. Lemercier (Assault on Precinct 13, Four Lovers).  The First Purge is directed by Gerard McMurray (Burning Sands), working from a screenplay once again written by DeMonaco.  www.thefirstpurge.com

The Purge: Anarchy...

Monday evening I was invited to the press screening for The Purge: Anarchy (2014) which comes out Friday July 18th and I didn't get to go because I missed my train due to an annoying library patron -- Which I'm super bummed about because I enjoyed the first film and wanted to check this one out.

Even though I didn't get to see the film I thought that I'd share all of the info bits that I'd share if I was going to write a review of the film, because I can...
The New Founders of America invite you to celebrate your annual right to Purge.  The Purge: Anarchy, the sequel to summer 2013’s sleeper hit that opened to No. 1 at the box-office, sees the return of writer/director James DeMonaco to craft the next terrifying chapter of dutiful citizens preparing for their country’s yearly 12 hours of anarchy.

Returning alongside DeMonaco to produce The Purge: Anarchy are Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity and Insidious series), alongside Sébastien K. Lemercier (Assault on Precinct 13, Four Lovers) and Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay (Pain & Gain, Transformers franchise), Brad Fuller (The Amityville Horror, A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Andrew Form (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th).

The Purge: Breakout Live Experience...

As you may or may not know, I am obsessed with actual haunted places as well as haunted themed attractions and there is going to be an awesome one based on the movie The Purge: Anarchy (2014) in Coney Island this weekend.

I was invited to go as press and unfortunately I'm stuck working all weekend so I can't go. But I thought it looked so awesome that I'd mention it to you guys and if one of you went you could tell me about all the fun I missed out on -- I'll cry after you tell me, but I'll live.

So here is a video of what you'd be experiencing...

How awesome does that look?! I'm so pissed I can't go. I would have love to have done this with my mother because she likes stuff like this too and we probably would have been laughing the whole time (We're a little twisted).

So if any of you are interested you can go to The Purge: Breakout An Immersive Escape Experience for information about ticketing, etc.

But seriously, let me know if you go to the one this weekend or at any of the other upcoming locations. I really wanna know how it was.

NOTE: This is post is sponsored but not sponsored -- I got invited to the event but can't go and wasn't obligated to write anything about it, I just thought it looked awesome and wanted to share it with you guys.
