Today while I was driving around blasting my music (I was listening to Rage Against the Machine getting dirty looks from people) before work I started to think about what kinda of music other librarians listen to, so I decided to start a little poll.

It's not a silly question, but my silly answer suggests that if you're polling librarians you could use a standard taxonomy of genres, such as the ID3 Genre field:
