Yesterday after I got off from work Maria and Erin stopped by my house to pick me up so we could go watch the local fireworks from Maria's apartment (She lives directly across from where the fireworks were being shot off from). The three of us grabbed some food and some wine/champagne to have on her balcony before meeting up with Phil and this other guy that Maria knows. We all watched the fireworks while drinking our wine in to go coffee cups on the beach and just hung out there for a while after the fireworks were done.
Eventually we decided to walk over to a restaurant/bar that is pretty close to Maria's apartment to have a few more drinks. When we got there we were surprised to find out that it was karaoke night (You guys know how much I love me some karaoke) and eventually Phil and I got up to sing "Fuck Her Gently" by Tenacious D (It's our go to karaoke song as horrible and crude as it is).
At some point we noticed it was getting late and all of us girls had to be at work in the AM, so we all hopped into Maria's friend's car and he drove us home but not before making a crazy trip to McDonald's for a midnight snack (For them, I can't eat that crap).
It was a lot of fun our little local night out. I'd do it again.
Girls night out always sounds fun! me and my hubby unfortunately stayed inn this year for fireworks. We had just arrived from Cabo and had to clean the house before we started out working week.. its was still fine, i needed that time at home. :) http://yuliconversations.blogspot.com/

I don't blame you. If I had just come home from being on vacation I would have totally stayed at home.
