Last night I attended a breast cancer fundraiser at a local bar that was sponsored by the doctors office that one of my friends work at. It was a ten dollar donation to get into the bar to watch the doctors bartend and serve drinks to their employees, friends and family.
Lemme tell you, having a doctor mix your drinks is a pretty interesting thing to watch because most of them don't know what the hell they are doing. Especially the doctor we had making our drinks. We asked him what he knew how to make and he just looked at us and said "A _______ and _______..." So we proceeded to order Captain Morgan and coke, Malibu and pineapple, vodka cranberries, etc. to make it easy on the poor doctor.
We hung around the bar for a bit but because it was so crowded (Oh, was it crowded...) and we were hungry we walked over to another bar/restaurant to have dinner, chat, etc. After a not so quick dinner we headed back to the bar the doctors were serving drinks at for a few more drinks and then we called it a night.
It was fun. I'd go to another fundraiser like it.
