I don't have a CD player. I have a cassette deck in my car but I have one of those cassette cord adapters in it so I can listen to the music on my iPhone in the car.

This question makes me sad because I haven't been to a concert since the 2012 Global Citizens Festival.

I don't have one greatest because Incubus, Foo Fighters & Weezer all put on amazing shows.

I guess Panic! At The Disco with Matt & Kim. I spent the whole show kicking stupid girls in the pit.

N'SYNC.

I love all music, so no phases for me.

A lot. I've seen Weezer eleven times, Foo Fighters six times, Incubus seven times, plus a bunch of other bands/artists; Justin Timberlake, Christina Agulera, N'SYNC, Hanson, Backstreet Boys, Aerosmith, Soundgarden, The Killers, The Black Keys and many many more.

16. What’s Your “Guilty Pleasure” That You hate to admit to liking?
I listen to everything and I'm not ashamed of any of it. I was listening to Hanson in the car the other night.

17. What Is Your Favorite Movie Soundtrack?
I loved The Bodyguard (1992) soundtrack growing up and honestly, I don't know the last time I listened to one.

Stuck In My Head: Only In Dreams...

This isn't my favorite Weezer song but it is very much so up there.

Only in Dreams by Weezer on Grooveshark

Fun Fact: Back when I was in college I was all about drawing and painting on my jean. And I had a pair of jeans that I painted they lyrics to "Only In Dreams" on. They were kinda horrible, but I miss them.

Music A To Z: U Is For...

U is for... Under My Umbrella by Incubus and Undone (The Sweater Song) by Weezer.

This is my favorite Incubus song. I actually want to have "Under my umbrella I'm an accomplished exile" tattooed somewhere on my person.

Under My Umbrella by Incubus on Grooveshark

Under My Umbrella

When I close my eyes... I can see for miles.
There's comfort in my dark seat... and chaos in the aisles.

These eyes are not your eyes
and these eyes are not the color that your arid eyes might be.
No, I was not around
when those eyes of yours decided so
I refuse to kneel before the sights you choose to see.

When I close my eyes... I remember why I smile.
Under my umbrella... I'm an accomplished exile.

These eyes are not your eyes
and these eyes are not the color that your arid eyes might be.
No, I was not around
when those eyes of yours decided so
I refuse to kneel before the sights you choose to see!

If this is right, I'd rather be wrong.
If this is sight, I'd rather be blind.

I love hearing them play this song live. Everyone just gets so into it.

Undone by Weezer on Grooveshark

Undone (The Sweater Song)

Hey bra, how we doin' man?
All right.
It's been a while man, life's so rad!
This band's my favorite man, don't ya love 'em?
Yeah.
Aw man, you want a beer?
All right.
Aw man, this is the best. I'm so glad we're all back together and stuff.
This is great, man.
Yeah.
Hey, did you know about the party after the show?
Yeah.
Aw man, it's gonna be the best, I'm so stoked! Take it easy bra'.

I'm me
Me be
Goddamn
I am
I can
Sing and
Hear me
Know me

If you want to destroy my sweater
Hold this thread as I walk away

Hey, what's up?
Not much.
Did you hear about the party?
Yeah.
Um, I think I'm gonna go but, um, my friends don't really wanna go. Could I get a ride?

Oh no
It go
It gone
Bye-bye
Who I
I think
I sink
And I die

If you want to destroy my sweater
Hold this thread as I walk away
Watch me unravel, I'll soon be naked
Lying on the floor (lying on the floor)
I've come undone

If you want to destroy my sweater
Hold this thread as I walk away (as I walk away)
Watch me unravel, I'll soon be naked
Lying on the floor (lying on the floor)
I've come undone

I don't want to destroy your tank-top
Let's be friends and just walk away
It's good to see you lying there in your Superman skivvies
Lying on the floor (lying on the floor)
I've come undone

Music A To Z: S Is For...

S is for... Say It Ain't So by Weezer and Scotty Doesn't Know by Lustra.

This is hands down my favorite song by Weezer.

Say It Aint So by Weezer on Grooveshark

Say It Ain't So

Alright

Somebody's Heine'
Is crowdin' my icebox
Somebody's cold one
Is givin' me chills
Guess I'll just close my eyes

Oh yeah
Alright
Feels good
Inside

Flip on the tele
Wrestle with Jimmy
Something is bubbling
Behind my back
The bottle is ready to blow

Say it ain't so
Your drug is a heartbreaker
Say it ain't so
My love is a life taker

I can't confront you
I never could do
That which might hurt you
So try and be cool
When I say
This way is a waterslide away from me
That takes you further every day
So be cool

Say it ain't so
Your drug is a heartbreaker
Say it ain't so
My love is a life taker

Dear Daddy
I write you in spite of years of silence
You've cleaned up, found Jesus, things are good or so I hear
This bottle of Steven's awakens ancient feelings
Like father, stepfather, the son is drowning in the flood
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Say it ain't so
Your drug is a heartbreaker
Say it ain't so
My love is a life taker

This song reminds me of my college friends so much. Whenever we're out and it starts to play, it's on. I cannot tell you how many times they have been out without me and have called me screaming Scotty Doesn't Know into my phone. It's always an awesome phone call to get.

Scotty Doesnt Know by Lustra on Grooveshark

Scotty Doesn't Know

Hey!!!!!!

Scotty doesn't know,
That Fionna and me,
Do it in my van every Sunday.

She tells him she's in church,
But she doesn't go,
Still shes on her knees, and...

Scotty doesn't know, oh.
Scotty doesn't know-oh.
So don't tell Scotty!
Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know.
SO DON'T TELL SCOTTY!

Fionna says she's out shopping,
But she's under me and I'm not stopping.

Cause Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know.
So don't tell Scotty.
Scotty doesn't knoooooow....
DON'T TELL SCOTTY!

I can't believe he's so trusting,
While I'm right behind you thrusting.

Fionna's got him on the phone,
and she's trying not to moan.
It's a three way call,
and he knows nothing.
NOTHING!!!

Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know,
Don't tell Scotty.
Cause Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't knoooooow....
SO DON'T TELL SCOTTY!

We'll put on a show, everyone will go.
Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't knoooooow....

The parking lot, why not?
It's so cool when you're on top.
His front lawn, in the snow.
Laughing so hard, cuz...

Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know.

I did her on his birthday.

Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know,
Scotty doesn't know,
Don't tell Scotty.
Scotty doesn't knoooooow....

Scotty will know,
Scotty has to know,
Scotty's gotta know,
Gonna tell Scotty,
Gonna tell him myself.

Scotty has to know,
Scotty has to know,
Scotty has to,
Scotty has to,
Scotty has to go!

Scotty doesn't know,
(Don't tell Scotty)
Scotty doesn't know,
(Don't tell Scotty)
Scotty doesn't know...
Scotty's gotta go!

Music A To Z: O Is For...

O is for... Only In Dreams by Weezer and On The Radio by Donna Summers.

I love this song. I used to have a pair of jeans with the chorus of the song on the leg. I miss them.

Only in Dreams by Weezer on Grooveshark

Only In Dreams

You can't resist her
She's in your bones
She is your marrow
And your ride home
You can't avoid her
She's in the air (in the air)
In between molecules
Of oxygen and carbon dioxide

Only in dreams
We see what it means
Reach out our hands
Hold on to hers
But when we wake
It's all been erased
And so it seems
Only in dreams

You walk up to her
Ask her to dance
She says, 'Hey baby
I just might take the chance'
You say, 'It's a good thing
That you float in the air (in the air)
That way there's no way
I will crush your pretty
Toenails into a thousand pieces.'

Only in dreams
We see what it means
Reach out our hands
Hold on to hers
But when we wake
It's all been erased
And so it seems
Only in dreams

Only in dreams...
Only in dreams...
Only in dreams...
Only in dreams...
Only in dreams...
Only in dreams...

In honor of the late Donna Summer, my favorite song of hers.

On the Radio by Donna Summer on Grooveshark

On The Radio

Someone found a letter you wrote me, on the radio
And they told the world just how you felt
It must have fallen out of a hole in your old brown overcoat
They never said your name
But I knew just who they meant.

I was so surprised and shocked, and I wondered, too
If by chance you heard it for yourself
I never told a soul just how I've been feeling about you
But they said it really loud
They said it on the air
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa oh oh oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh

Now, now
Don't it kinda strike you sad when you hear our song
Things are not the same since we broke up last June
The only thing that I want to hear is that you love me still
And that you think you'll be comin' home real soon
Whoa, oh, yeah, yeah
And it made me feel proud when I heard you say
You couldn't find the words to say it yourself
And now in my heart I know I can say what I really feel
Cause they said it really loud
They said it on the air
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio

Played in shorter version:
If you think that love isn't found on the radio
Well tune right in you made find the love you lost
Cause now I'm sitting here with the man I sent away long ago
It sounded really loud
They said it really loud
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh
On the radio
Whoa, oh, oh

Music A To Z: E Is For...

E is for... Everlong by Foo Fighter, El Scorcho by Weezer and Even Flow by Pearl Jam, all 90's rock!

There is a good reason I picked another Foo Fighters song aside from the fact that they are one of my favorite bands, Everlong is mine and Justin's song. It's what our relationship is built upon and one day I'll have the word "everlong" tattooed across my ring finger.

Everlong by Foo Figthers on Grooveshark

Everlong

Hello
I've waited here for you
everlong
tonight I throw myself into
and out of the red
out of her head she sang

come down
and waste away with me
down with me
slow how
you wanted it to be
I'm over my head
out of her head she sang

and I wonder
when I sing along with you
if everything could ever feel this real forever
if anything could ever be this good again
the only thing I'll ever ask of you
you've got to promise not to stop when I say when

breathe out so I can breathe you in
hold you in
and now I know you've always been
out of your head
out of my head I sang

and I wonder
when I sing along with you
if everything could ever feel this real forever
if anything could ever be this good again
the only thing I'll ever ask of you
you've got to promise not to stop when I say when

El Scorcho is another one of those songs that reminds me of my friends and belting out songs in the car. It's another sing-along that I absolute love. In addition to that it is the only song Weezer like never plays. I heard them play it once in the ten times I've seen them in concert and the only reason they played it was because it was for their Memories tour.

El Scorcho by Weezer on Grooveshark

El Scorcho

Goddamn you half-Japanese girls
Do it to me every time
Oh, the redhead said you shred the cello
And I'm jello, baby
You won't talk, won't look, won't think of me
I'm the epitome of Public Enemy
Why you wanna go and do me like that?
Come down on the street and dance with me

I'm a lot like you so please
Hello, I'm here, I'm waiting
I think I'd be good for you
And you'd be good for me

I asked you to go to the Green Day concert
You said you never heard of them
How cool is that?
So I went to your room and read your diary:
"Watching Grunge leg-drop New-Jack through a press table..."
And then my heart stopped: "Listening to Cio-Cio San
Fall in love all over again."

I'm a lot like you so please
Hello, I'm here, I'm waiting
I think I'd be good for you
And you'd be good for me

How stupid is it? I can't talk about it
I gotta sing about it and make a record of my heart
How stupid is it? Won't you give me a minute
Just come up to me and say hello to my heart
How stupid is it?
For all I know you want me too
And maybe you just don't know what to do
Or maybe you're scared to say: "I'm falling for you"

I wish I could get my head out of the sand
'Cause I think we'd make a good team
And you would keep my fingernails clean
But that's just a stupid dream that I won't realize
'Cause I can't even look in your eyes
Without shakin', and I ain't fakin'
I'll bring home the turkey if you bring home the bacon.

I'm a lot like you so please
Hello, I'm here, I'm waiting
I think I'd be good for you
And you'd be good for me

I'm a lot like you.
I'm a lot, and I'm waitin.
I think I'd be good for you
And you'd be good for me.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Even Flow by Pearl Jam reminds me of being in college at my friends' apartment and playing Rock Band on their PlayStation. It was mine and my roommate Liz's favorite song to play even though we sucked at the game.

Even Flow by Pearl Jam on Grooveshark

Even Flow

Freezin', rests his head on a pillow made of concrete, again
Oh, Feelin' maybe he'll see a little better, set a days, ooh yeah
Oh, hand out, faces that he sees time again ain't that familiar, oh yeah
Oh, dark grin, he can't help, when he's happy looks insane, oh yeah
Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies
Oh, he don't know, so he chases them away
Someday yet, he'll begin his life again
Life again, life again...
Kneelin', looking through the paper though he doesn't know to read, ooh yeah
Oh, prayin', now to something that has never showed him anything
Oh, feelin', understands the weather of the winters on its way
Oh, ceilings, few and far between all the legal halls of shame, yeah
Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies
Oh, he don't know, so he chases them away
Someday yet, he'll begin his life again
Whispering hands, gently lead him away
Him away, him away...
Yeah!
Woo...ah yeah...fuck it up...
Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies
Oh, he don't know, so he chases them away
Someday yet, he'll begin his life again, yeah
Oh, whispering hands, gently lead him away
Him away, him away...
Yeah!
Woo...uh huh...yeah, yeah, mommy, mommy...

I died, I died & you just stood there. I died & you watched. I died & you said no. I'm dead.

Year One Photos...

This is just a handful of the photos from the past year.

December 24, 2010

Weezer Website Picture...

Justin posted this link/picture from the Weezer website on my Facebook.

As you can see, I circled myself and Justin. It isn't as awesome as the photo Karl (Weezer's webmaster, etc) took at the Foozer Tour where Justin is totally visable screaming in the front of the crowd.

Weezer Memories Tour...

I am a super lucky girl, my boyfriend got us tickets for both nights of Weezer's Memories Tour at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. And here is how both nights went down...

Blue Album Night (12/17/2010)
We got into the City early so that we could go to Roseland Ballroom and find the person that my patron had told me to ask for -- See Bad Thursday entry for the back story. We found said individual and they gave us bracelets so that we could watch the concert from the mezzanine balcony. Once we got inside we ran up the stairs to see if we could get some prime seating. And we did we got a table front and center, and we didn't move all night.

The concert started at 8:00pm with the opening band Free Energy. I hate opening bands so I didn't really pay attention to them (I was busy taunting my friends via Facebook). A little after 9:00pm Weezer came on and played the following setlist.

Setlist
:
  1. Memories
  2. (If You're Wondering If I Want You to) I Want You To
  3. Troublemaker
  4. Pork and Beans
  5. Beverly Hills
  6. Keep Fishin'
  7. Photograph
  8. Island in the Sun
  9. Hash Pipe
  10. Falling for You
  11. My Name Is Jonas
  12. No One Else
  13. The World Has Turned and Left Me Here
  14. Buddy Holly
  15. Undone - The Sweater Song
  16. Surf Wax America
  17. Say It Ain't So
  18. In the Garage
  19. Holiday
  20. Only in Dreams
The show was awesome and we both had a great time.

Pinkerton Night (12/18/2010)
We got to the City super super early because we were planning on having dinner at Victor's Cafe. When we got there the chick in front told us they were booked until 9:00pm, we said screw that and we walked around the corner to this little Mexican restaurant. Justin and I were there for a while, we figured instead of freezing our asses off in line that we'd just hang out in the restaurant until the doors at Roseland opened.

A little past 7:00pm we walked over to Roseland. Once inside we went to check our coats. We get to the coat check lady and Justin hands her his jacket with his zip up inside of it and she tells him it is $3.00 per item. He demands his jackets back and walks away -- Later he told me he contemplated taking my jacket too. After the coat check debacel, we found ourselves a nice little spot behind the sound booth to watch the show from. Once there we basically just hung out there all night.

Again Free Energy opened and again I ignored them. Weezer came on about the same time they did the night before and they played the following setlist.

Setlist:
  1. Memories
  2. Pork and Beans
  3. The Greatest Man That Ever Lived
  4. Perfect Situation
  5. Dope Nose
  6. Hash Pipe
  7. You Gave Your Love to Me Softly
  8. Susanne
  9. Jamie
  10. Only in Dreams
  11. Tired of Sex
  12. Getchoo
  13. No Other One
  14. Why Bother?
  15. Across the Sea
  16. The Good Life
  17. El Scorcho
  18. Pink Triangle
  19. Falling for You
  20. Butterfly
This show was way better than the Blue Album show, but only beacause they played songs I'd never heard them play before. This was my 8th Weezer concert and it was the first time I'd ever heard them play "El Scorcho" -- I would have heard it in 2005 during the Foozer Tour if it wasn't for breaking my ankle the day before the concert, thus causing me to miss it. They also played "Susanne" and "Jamie" which were awesome.

I did want to punch someone tonight, while Karl was showing the audience a slide show he was talking about Carli and Mykel (for those of you that don't know, they were in charge of Weezer's fan club and they died in car accident in 1997) and this chick laughs, then said "Oh, they died" and continued laughing. I don't know, it made me mad. But aside from that ass the concert was awesome.
