Cookin' Librarian: Honey Cakes...

1/2 Cup of Sweet White Wine ← I used Moscato because I love it
1 Large Egg
2/3 Cup All-Purpose Flour
Dash of Salt
1/8 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
2 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
1 Cup Honey
1/8 Teaspoon Grated Nutmeg
  1. Beat the wine and egg in a bowl
  2. Combine the flour, cinnamon, salt and sugar in another bowl
  3. Mix all of the ingredients together
  4. Let stand for 30 minutes
  5. Combine honey and nutmeg in a small bowl (Set aside)
  6. Heat oil in a skillet
  7. Drop batter into the oil and cook until golden brown
  8. Serve cakes with honey mixture
