My 4th of July was pretty lame but I enjoyed it. Justin and I basically spent it the same way we spent Saint Patrick's Day, going to the movies and doing nothing.
We honestly were planning on going to the beach with Erin, my sister, etc. but every weather forecast we looked at claimed it was going to rain. Because of this Justin swore that by 1:00pm that it would be a mess outside and that we should just lay low. So, we went grocery shopping and then we headed to the movie theater to see The Amazing Spider-Man (2012).
When we got out and surprise surprise, it was still beautiful out. I made some comments about not going to the beach and then we headed back to his apartment to watch the baseball game he DVRed.
After the game was over we decided to walk to the nearest RedBox to get a movie and a Push Up Pop. We picked up 21 Jump Street (2012) and while we were watching the previews we saw one for the movie Safety Not Guaranteed (2011) which looked pretty good, so I looked up the information on the movie and saw that it was still in theaters and it was playing at one on Long Island. Right then and there we were like screw 21 Jump Street (2012) and we decided to go to the next showing of the movie.
So we drove out to the theater showing the movie and it was the tiniest theater ever. For a while we thought we were the only ones going to see the movie but about 10 minutes before the movie started a handful of people showed up.
The movie was weird but good, Justin and I both enjoyed it. I was actually really happy we drove out to see the movie because we got to watch firework shows all around us while we were driving back to his apartment and it was pretty neat. So, that we my 4th of July, it wasn't much but I enjoyed it. I hope you all had a happy and safe Fourth of July.
