Seven Questions Halloween Edition...

My sister and I at the NYC Halloween Parade 2010. Yes, there was booze in that Starbucks cup.

1. Do you believe in ghosts?
Very much so! I love all of those ghost shows and going to haunted places! I have a tag for ghosts here on my blog!

2. Do you prefer the cute or the scary Halloween?
It honestly depends on the year. I've mostly done slutty-cute costumes, but last year I was a bloody zombie.
3. How old were you when you stopped trick or treating?
Last time I went trick-or-treating I was 21-years-old. My college friends and I got dressed up and went out in the neighborhood near our university. We had a blast.

4. Do you have any fun Halloween traditions?
Getting dressed up and going into New York City to party!

5. Share a scary local urban legend.
Here is a Long Island urban legend...  There is a road in Huntington, NY called Sweet Hollow Road and the legend goes that a bus full of children was driving in snowy conditions on the Northern State overpass bridge. The bus lost control and slipped off of the bridge killing everyone on board. It is said that when you drive under the bridge, if you put your car in neutral, supposedly the car will start to move out from underneath the bridge. People say that this is the kids pushing your car out of harms way.

Yes, I've driven to Sweet Hollow Road and I've done this. There is also a cemetery right next to the bridge which is creepy and awesome all at the same time when you're doing this at night.

Other Long Island urban legends include; Mount Misery, Camp Hero, Mary's Grave, the famous Amityville Horror House, etc. You can check out Long Island Paranormal Investigators for more haunted Long Island stuff.

6. Would you rather be haunted or haunting?
Haunted. I hope when I'm dead I go on and don't get stuck somewhere to haunt.

7. What's your favorite Halloween character/ creature? (Dracula, witch, ghost, etc)
I love witches and ghosts.

  1. #6 was such a hard question. I didn't want to be stuck somewhere either. But I would HATE to be haunted! I think I'd die of fright.
Did your car move when you put it in neutral? There's a story like that here, too.

    1. Oh, I'm firm with my answer. If something wants to haunt me I'll just bust out my sage and some salt and send them packing.

I honestly don't remmeber. We've been there so many times and it's just dark and creep and we are busying chattering to notice.

      I feel like it's a common story.
