Gimme Stitches...

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you already know all about this but for those of you that don't, I'm spending another January with stitches in my hand.

Friday night I went to grab something out of one of my kitchen cabinets and the blade to my Ninja Blender, which was improperly put away, fell off the shelf it was on and sliced the side of my right hand on it's way down. There was blood, tears (Not because it hurt but because I was pissed it happened) and no one home with me -- I had to call Justin to tell him I'd cut myself and thankfully he was only fifteen minutes away.

When he got home he drove me to a local Urgent Care Center, where in less than an hour I was taken care of and got a couple of stitches.
Lessons Learned As A Result
  • Always make sure to put the Ninja Blender blade back in the blender after cleaning
  • Urgent Care Centers are cheaper and quicker than going to an Emergency Room
I hope my stupidity saves one of you a trip to the ER or Urgent Care Center.

Also, I have a video of my hand being stitched up. Should I edit it and put it up?

  3. Sorry to hear about your incident. I would have also cried especially because it was unnecessary. Its one of those things that shouldn't have happened but did. Glad Justin was there to take you to Urgent Care and you are so right they are a lot cheaper than emergency room visits.
