As Above, So Below...

I was just sent the trailer for this upcoming horror/psychological thriller called As Above, So Below (2014) and it looked like a pretty neat movie, so I thought I'd share it with you guys.

Miles of twisting catacombs lie beneath the streets of Paris, the eternal home to countless souls. When a team of explorers ventures into the uncharted maze of bones, they uncover the secret of what this city of the dead was meant to contain. A journey into madness and terror, As Above, So Below reaches deep into the human psyche to reveal the personal demons that come back to haunt us all.

Written by John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle (Quarantine, Devil) and directed by John Erick Dowdle, the psychological thriller is produced by Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Patrick Aiello and Drew Dowdle. Alex Hedlund serves as the executive producer.

  2. That looks pretty cool-I'm a big fan of hidden passages/secret places like that too. I hope it's more psychological thriller than gore for gore's sake. Don't know about the whole found footage approach though-they always distract and annoy me, I can't stop thinking "just drop the damn camera already!"

    1. I agree, it'll be better if it's on the less gory side. I don't think every horror film needs to be full of blood and gross stuff.

LOL. It depends with "found footage" movies with me. Some I'm okay with and others I can't tolerate at all. I especially hate when there is some serious shaky cam going on.

  3. Did you see Descent? It feels a little like that movie, except Descent feels like something that could actually happen. Either way, I'm into horror movies, regardless of their reviews. I loved Quarantine (Devil was a little weird), so I would give it a shot, for sure! Thanks for sharing!

    1. I did get a Descent vibe when I watched the trailer but I figure what the hell. Like you I love horror movies, so I'll watch almost any of them.

I liked the original Spanish version of Quarantine called REC better. Not because it was any different because they were honestly the same exact movie, but because the lead in the American version had an annoying voice. LOL.

I didn't see Devil. My sister said it was weird also.
