Killing A Benjamin | Dollar Shave Club...

As you guys may or may not know by now, I love a good writing prompt. So when I was recently approached by Dollar Shave Club and asked what would I do if I had an extra hundred dollars in my pocket to spend on anything I wanted, I was all over it because who doesn't dream about just having some extra cash to spend on whatever their little heart desires? -- Plus it totally reminded me of a game called "Killing a Benjamin" from my favorite podcast Slumber Party with Alie & Georgia.

So what would I spend an extra random hundred dollars on? Well my first instinct is high end makeup but with a hundred dollars I would only be able to buy a lipstick and maybe some sort of palette -- I know this because my sister gave me a hundred dollar give card for Christmas and I blew the whole things on one NARS Audacious Lipstick and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, which are both totally worth the money by the way but very expensive -- and as much as those things would make me happy, I feel like with an extra hundred bucks I should do something blog worthy. Like go into New York City and spend the day doing stupid things with my friends (Aka day drinking) or drive out to the east end of Long Island, hang out at the farms, eat good local food, thrift and play in a field or at the beach with Justin or blow the whole thing on a ticket to see Then She Fell (Which is an interactive performance in the same vein as Sleep No More) or have an amazing meal. Basically something memory worthy. I'm all about making memories because when I'm old I want to be able to tell people about all of the adventures I've been on throughout the course of my life.

Why is Dollar Shave Club interested in how I would spend and extra hundred dollars? Well, with their monthly service starting at $3.00 their members save over a hundred dollars a year on shaving supplies. And with that kind of savings it's hard not to wonder what people would do with an extra hundred dollars in their pocket.

So what would you do if you had an extra hundred dollars to spend as you please? Lemme know!

As always, all opinions are my own.

  1. I'd use an extra $100 for a sight seeing tour and dinner out in NYC when I visit for Blogger Bash. (7/16-7/18)
