M. Night Shyamalan's thriller Split (2017) is coming out on DVD April 16 and in honor of it's release I'm giving away two (2) copies of the DVD to two (2) lucky winner.
Writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan returns to the captivating grip of The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs with Split, an original thriller that delves into the mysterious recesses of one man’s fractured, gifted mind. Following last year’s breakout hit The Visit, Shyamalan reunites with producer Jason Blum (The Purge and Insidious series, The Gift) for the film.
While the mental divisions of those with dissociative identity disorder have long fascinated and eluded science, it is believed that some can also manifest unique physical attributes for each personality, a cognitive and physiological prism within a single being.
Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy, The Witch), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him—as well as everyone around him—as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.
For Split, Shyamalan and Blum reassemble their core team from The Visit, the No. 1-grossing horror film of 2015. Their fellow collaborators include producer Marc Bienstock and executive producers Ashwin Rajan and Steven Schneider.

••••••••••••••••• CONTEST ENDS APRIL 3RD AT MIDNIGHT •••••••••••••••••
My current favorite movie of the year! (Out of 6 I've seen, so...)
ReplyDeleteAnd since I saw the rules after I commented, I'll say that I think if I were in that situation, I'd play along to try to gain the kidnapper's trust and then look for a way to escape.
ReplyDeleteI hope to never end up in a situation like the girls in Split. Based on your question I would probably have a mental breakdown and while Mr. Dennis or Patricia tried to help me recover, the other girls could try to escape. I would be willing to sacrifice myself in order to save the other two girls and for them to possibly find or call for help. Thanks for making me answer this creative question. It took awhile for me to respond to this, but I feel it was worth the time. #MisfitLibrarians #SplitMovie
ReplyDeleteKnowing myself, I'd probably have a massive panic attack. Then try and play the waiting game and hope I have as much time as possible to study where I am and look for any patterns or weaknesses so I could get out as quickly as possible.
ReplyDeleteI think a breakdown would be inevitable where I just cried and screamed for help. Eventually though I like to think that I would get very clear headed and focused and start to formulate an escape plan.
ReplyDeleteI think I would try to attack the person who captured me if I was in a situation like the girls in Split. Thanks for the giveaway. I hope that I win. Bernie W BWallace1980(at)hotmail(d0t)com
ReplyDeleteI would carefully plan my escape by any means necessary!
ReplyDeleteI would try to stay calm then when the right moment came I would make my escape.
