Then She Fell...

Last night, after years of saying I wanted to go, I finally got to see Then She Fell thanks to my friend Justin ("Other Justin") wanting to surprise his fiancée Jackie with tickets for her thirtieth birthday.

For those of you unfamiliar with Then She Fell, it's an immersive theater experience combining a hospital ward, the writings of Lewis Carroll, and only 15 audience members per show (Which included myself, Justin, Phil, Rob, Other Justin and Jackie). So it's kinda like Sleep No More, which I've been to twice, but on a much more intimate level.

Going into Then She Fell I knew very little about what was supposed to be happening at The Kingsland Ward at St. Johns (The three-floor, century-old institutional facility Then She Fell takes place in), which was awesome because I had no clue what to expect at any point.

Unfortunately because I loved not knowing what to expect I'm not going to give anything away. But what I will say is, if you enjoy immersive theater and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, you will really like Then She Fell. It was a great two hours down the rabbit hole and I'm really glad I finally got to go.

So if you're in Brooklyn and there are tickets available, I highly recommend checking it out.
