Here is a Long Island urban legend...  There is a road in Huntington, NY called Sweet Hollow Road and the legend goes that a bus full of children was driving in snowy conditions on the Northern State overpass bridge. The bus lost control and slipped off of the bridge killing everyone on board. It is said that when you drive under the bridge, if you put your car in neutral, supposedly the car will start to move out from underneath the bridge. People say that this is the kids pushing your car out of harms way.

Yes, I've driven to Sweet Hollow Road and I've done this. There is also a cemetery right next to the bridge which is creepy and awesome all at the same time when you're doing this at night.

Other Long Island urban legends include; Mount Misery, Camp Hero, Mary's Grave, the famous Amityville Horror House, etc. You can check out Long Island Paranormal Investigators for more haunted Long Island stuff.

Nope. No clue. But I'll give you 10 points if you can name the movie this quote is from...
"Back to school. Back to school, to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool. I got my lunch packed up, my boots tied tight, I hope I don't get in a fight. Ohhhh, back to school. Back to school. Back to school. Well, here goes nothing."

My healthy meals are nowhere near as awesome or interesting as my fatty meals. So some asparagus and baked/grilled fish, but it would all be spicy. I love my food with a kick.

I have hair issues if you haven't noticed by now. I have a love hate relationship with my hair being long. When it's long I always have the urge to chop it all off, thus the Rihanna hair last year. 6. Who is your oldest (not by age) friend?
I'm still "friends" with people that I've known forever but my oldest friend that I actually care about is Phil. We've known each other since middle school and he is my male BFF. The next oldest friend is Erin. We've known each other just as long as I've known Phil but she and I hated each other until 9th grade global studies. For a full explanation of our friendship you can read this. I wrote a whole big thing about it a while ago.

7. What is your favorite blog- currently?

I'm loving Keiko Lynn. I love her style.

Seven Questions...

Erin and I annoyed because we couldn't find our friend after standing in the sun all day at Pride in 2009

1. What do you do when you're sick? (Do you act like a baby? Tough it out? Have any weird cravings? Cry?)
Normally when I'm sick I make myself a pot of fish soup and eat that in between all of the naps I take on the couch. I also watch The Joy of Painting (1983-1994) when I'm sick.

2. What do you do to find motivation when you feel you've lost it?
I need to be inspired to be motivated, so when I feel uninspired I tend to read various magazines (I don't stick to one type. I can draw inspiration from a fashion magazine or a parenting magazine), I look at different websites and blogs and I take time to breathe.

3. Do you wish time away or do you savor every moment?
A combination of the two to be honest.

4. If you could be any mythological creature, what would you be, and why?
Hmm... I think I'd like to be a mermaid because they get to live in the ocean and swim around all day messing with sailors.

5. What is your current biggest weakness and are you working on fixing it?
My weakness is cheese and I'm trying to break up with it but we have an abusive relationship.

Shake their hand (Firmly, I'm not a weak hand shaker) and say hi!

7. How do you grocery shop? (Do you write up a list? Go in with no idea what you're looking for? Have meal plans? Bring your own shopping bags?)
I only grocery shop when I want to cook something. I make a mental list of all of the ingredients that I'll need to make the dish in question and go shopping. My method is flawed, I always forget something. I'm a bad person, I don't bring my own bags but only because we have Nella and need plastic bags.

Seven Questions...

My friend Ben & I beating the crap out of each other with socks filled
with baby powder in the hallways of our dorm in 2006 or 2007.

1. If you were to start your own business, what would it be?
My dream is to one day open a Coffee/Tea hangout spot with Phil. We've been talking about doing it for years and I can't wait until we actually do it. We have the name picked out, I've drawn out logos, etc.

I'd also like to open a trendy plus sized shop somewhere on Long Island. When you're 20-something and plus sized it's flippin' hard to find cute clothing. I work really hard to try and find the cutest things I can.

2. You wake up on the wrong side of the bed, do you embrace your grumpiness or try to fight it?
I'm Cuban, I totally embrace my grumpiness and let my grumpy flag fly.

3. What's the very first memory you have?
I'm not good at stuff like this, you'd think I would be because I can remember tons of stuff but for some reason I don't remember much from my early childhood. Which is weird because I had a good one.

4. The world is ending, what do you do? Allow yourself to die? Fight? Hide? Etc.
It depends on how crap goes down, but I'm 99.9% sure I'd fight no matter what. I'm a survivor, I come from a survivor. My dad was a Pedro Pan kid, he was sent from Cuba at the age of 10 to Miami because of  rumors that the Cuban government would begin taking children against the wishes of their parents to military schools and to Soviet labour camps. He was sent to an orphanage in Michigan (While my Tia got to stay with a family friend who refused to take my father, even though they told my grandmother they would) and lived there for nine months until my grandmother came to the US from Cuba. And in those nine months he changed and in growing up learned how to be a survivor and do what you have to do.

In addition to my father being a Pedro Pan kid, he took part in the Mariel Boatlift. My Tio fought in the Bay of Pig and my grandmother was a nurse taking bullets out of Cubans revolting agains Castro. Survivor family!

5. What is your favorite meal of the day?
Dinner.

6. How do you best learn? Visual? Listening? Hands on?
I'm a listener. I need to be in a classroom and listen to the information I need to know. I retain information well, at least I think I do.

7. What is your favorite joke?
I don't really tell jokes. My mother tells some pretty dirty one and Justin tries to tell dirty jokes. And right now I'm blanking on a good one.

3. You have to be on a reality TV show - Which would you chose?
I want to be on Say Yes To The Dress (2007-Present) whenever Justin proposes to me. Once he pops the question I'm calling a friend of mine who works for the show and I'm getting my ass to Kleinfeld's. There will be blog posts and pictures and videos when this all happens.

4. What is your favorite form of exercise? (Running, Zumba, step, etc)
Even though I'm not very good at it and I've only gone to two classes, I really enjoy Zumba. It is such a good workout and it's so fun to do.

5. What is one thing that you've never tried but are CONVINCED you hate? (Foods, activities, etc)
Hamburgers. I've never had one but they gross me out (I don't like meat).

6. Do you have any hidden talents?
Is having a wealth of stupid knowledge a hidden talent? I know so many stupid random facts. People who end up listening to me ramble on various topics tell me I should be on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (1998-Present) or something.

7. What's the best prank you've ever pulled?
I'm not big prank person.
