Halloween 2013 Recap...

So this fine Halloween I woke up feeling extremely lazy and still tired, which resulted in me scrapping my plans to painting my face and going into work as a Liechtenstein painting. Instead I rummaged through my closet, found a vintage peasant dress that I bought forever ago at the thrift store, curled my hair, threw a flower crown on, put on some make up and transformed into a hippie flower child librarian to work my first Halloween ever (In the nine years that I've worked at the library I have never worked on Halloween, they needed me in the morning so I came in for a few hours).
After hippie flower childing it up at work for the few hours I was scheduled, I headed over to my parent's house to hang out with my Dad and Nella. Eventually Nicole came to pick me up and we took her son to a local kiddie costume parade, trick or treating (Not only did we get candy while out, we got free glasses of wine from the local liquor store) and then out to dinner, where Erin showed up at the tail end just in time for the special dessert Chef Kim whipped up for us (Bread pudding!!!).
After bidding each other adieu, I got my car from my parents' house and headed to a movie theater by my apartment to ended my Halloween by going to see a special showing of Halloween (1978) with Nick.
Despite having seen the movie literately hundreds of times, it was still incredible. I loved every moment of watching it on the big screen and being a theater with true fans that made some amazing commentary throughout the course of the film (Plus the dude who dressed up as Michael Myers in the sheet with Bob's glasses).

So yeah, it wasn't the most exciting of Halloweens but I had a great day.

  1. That would have been fun to see Halloween on the big screen. I started watching it on TV, but fell asleep about 15 minutes in.
