So, it's been less than two weeks since Justin and I got engaged and surprise surprise, wedding planning is in full swing. But unlike everyone else I know currently planning weddings for a year from now, Justin and I are planning on getting married as soon as possible -- Hey, we've been together for eleven years why have a long engagement?
I know what you're all thinking, how soon is soon? Well, we are aiming to get married this September (September 6th to be exact if everything goes as planned with the officiant and photographer we have been in contact with). Yes, I'm aware that that is less than four months away (More than one person has expressed concern about this) but this is what we want.
Justin and I decided a long time ago that a small wedding would suit us best, which is why I think having a wedding in the very near future is possible. And at this moment in time we have our hearts set on a small-ish wedding in Central Park with twenty/twenty-five of our family and friends.
So yeah, in terms of a date and location for the actually ceremony we are unofficially set. Everything else is kinda up in the air but we're doing our research and trying to figure out what would be best for us.
That's all I've got at the moment in terms of wedding news. If you wanna keep up-to-date with all of my wedding randomness, I'll be using the hashtag #MisfitGettingMarried on Twitter and Instagram.
Getting married in Central Park sounds like a dream!
ReplyDeleteI hope it is. I actually went and checked the average weather in Central Park from 1974-2012 to see if the date we picked would be okay weather wise.
DeleteI was going to comment about how you have such a short engagement but then I remembered you guys have been together for so long it's like, why arbitrarily wait?
ReplyDeleteI hope it's wonderful. Can't wait to see photos! XOXO
Yeah, we've been together for eleven years. So we were kinda like lets just do this already.
DeleteThank you!
