Honestly I don't really care for the content of this box. It's kinda just eh. I mean the makeup removers in the little cotton swabs are kinda cute and because they are tiny I'll be throwing them in my toiletry bag for my trip next week. The same thing goes for the razor, I'll just take it on vacation with me because my Intuition razor is mighty large and this one seems better to travel with. The Juicy eau de toilette spray smells nice enough and since it's tiny I can put it in my purse in case I smell bad for some reason. The tanning stuff seems useless to me seeing as I'm currently tan and I have no problem going to a tanning salon to stay crispy. And finally, how many facial cleansers do I need? I have so many sample facial cleansers it's not even funny. I don't actually need to buy any for years that's how many I have.

I'm really sad and annoyed by the lack of a makeup product in this box. Why so cheap with the makeup samples Birchbox?!!?! I want makeup! I searched YouTube and everyone that posted a video of their August box already got mascara!! Ugh!!

Even though I'm currently annoy my Birchbox subscription shall live on another month. We'll see what happens.

The July 2012 was a collaboration between Birchbox and Glamour magazine. In the past I haven't been too thrilled about the collaboration boxes Birchbox has had with others, but I really enjoyed this box. I'm pretty sure that as a whole this is the best Birchbox I've received since starting in October 2011. I loved the full sized Eyeko liquid liner (I swatched it on my hand, it went on super easy and was really black), I've been wanting to try Supergoop! products, the perfume smells good (I'm picky with my perfume. I only wear Chanel No. 5, Candies and this discontinued scent from Victoria's Secret), the earbuds are super cute and I love mints. Everything in the box was great and were things that I'd use.

This was one pass of the eyeliner. It dried quickly and I rubbed it as hard as I would rub my eyes and it did not budge. I'm totally using this the next time I do my make up. I love it! ♥

June Birchbox & Glam Bag...

I was so excited when I came home from spending the weekend at Justin's to find that both my June Birchbox and Glam Bag came in!

I'm pretty happy with my June Birchbox but I am sad I wasn't one of the people that got Stilla One Step Bronzer, c'est la vie. I do love that I got Cynthia Rowley BAND-AIDs instead of getting a Tili Bag. Everything else seems like interesting things to try, so my Birchbox subscription lives on.

I must say that I liked the content of this Glam Bag way more than my first bag last month. I was super excited for the Philosophy Take a Deep Breath gel because I was actually looking at it on Sephora earlier in the day. All of the products are things that I would use, I have a bunch of NYX Round Lipsticks (Not in the color I received) and I love the bag that it came in (I love anything covered in glitter). Overall, I will keep up My Glam subscription for another month.

My First Glam Bag...

Last month I put myself on the waiting list to get a Glam Bag subscription from MyGlam.com which is kinda like Birchbox but the samples come in little makeup bags. Well it looks like I'm off the waiting list because I got myself a Glam Bag in the mail and here it is...

I honestly didn't read any reviews before signing up for MyGlam.com because the company is run by a bunch of beauty bloggers from YouTube that I follow and thought that they might do a good job putting this venture together. Since signing up though I have checked out a bunch of reviews and the majority of them have been unfavorable. After finding out about other people's woes with this company I kinda was waiting to see what happened. I got my bag, I didn't double billed, etc. So, no problems with my Glam Bag subscription from the company's end. On to the bag and it's content...

The bag itself is cute, but it smells a little funny. The content was ehh... The brushes are super tiny and when I looked at them before reading the card I thought they were a lip brush and a weird eyeshadow brush. The lipstick is full sized, but it isn't a color I would pick (I'm a red girl as you all should know by now). The nail bling was neat, I'll let you know how long it lasts and if I like the quality. And lastly, the perfume... I love love love Philosophy products and I've never smelt this particular one before and I like it.

I think I'll give Glam Bag another go next month and see what happens.

Birchbox: May 2012...

When I heard that Birchbox was doing Gossip Girl themed boxes I was super excited because I love Gossip Girl, but this box is kinda eh. I mean, what do these things really have to do with Gossip Girl? Okay, I got some gold nail polish which could be luxe a la the nature of the show. I'll even give them the eye cream only because on Monday nights episode ("The Fugitives") Blair was talking about replacing her mother's expensive eye cream that she used up while she was gone. But everything else? Not really so Gossip Girl to me.

That all being said, it isn't as bad as some of my boxes have been but it also isn't stellar. Lets wait and see what happens with next months box, I'm not just ready to give up on Birchbox.
