Last month I mentioned that my friend Chastity who works as an Associate Producer for the YouTube channel Tech Feed got to host her very own episode. Well, since doing that first video she has done a bunch more and I'm pretty sure they are just going to keep on coming. And because I'm so proud of her I wanted to share the videos that she has done as of thus far...
If you enjoy her make sure to give her a thumbs up!
I don't know about all of you but I'm super excited about this N'SYNC VMAs reunion rumor that has been flying around for the past couple of days. And because my inner fan girl is running rampant I made a playlist.
Here is proof that librarians are super quirky funny awesome people (If you didn't already get that from reading my little blog)....
How awesome is it that these librarians made a library version of the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" video? I can't tell you how much I'm in love with this video, these librarians, etc.
Oh, did I just have the mother of all "reference" phone calls... I was literately on the phone with this woman for over ten minutes as she explained to me that her daughter was going into tenth grade (Private school) and how she though she needed to read more for pleasure, how she thought that she should read classics (What tenth grader wants to read classics for pleasure?!). Then she starts talking about how she left her house without her purse and only had five dollars on her and then she realized that she could go to an ATM -- She thanked me for whatever I jogged in her brain to get to that. Then she starts talking to me about PSAT books and reading comprehension. She made me read through a PSAT, SAT and English Regents book because she wanted to know about what kind of reading comprehension work was in them. In the middle of all of this she tells me she is in front of a Trader Joe's because she was going to buy some organic figs. At some other point she starts telling me that her daughter's friend was having a $35,000 sweet sixteen and how she told the mom of the girl that she should be spending her money on her child's education, how she wants her own daughter to go to Brown, etc. It was such an odd conversation and it lasted forever (Towards the end of it I was pretending to stab myself in the neck as I was sitting at the reference desk). I mean, she thanked me at the end of it for being so helpful but still, I just wasted minutes of my life that I'm never going to get back and I'm going to have to deal with this lady tomorrow because she had me pull tons of books.
It's been a long time since I've had to deal with someone on the phone like I just did, so I guess it was kinda overdue. But it's still annoying every time it happens. Do any of you deal with people like this at work?
1. What Is Something You’ve Always Wanted To Do But Are Afraid Of?
"Favorite Page #1" said I want to swim with sharks and that is scary, but that doesn't scare me. I'm more afraid of having LASIK than swimming with sharks. 2. Where Do You See Yourself In Five Years?
Hopefully alive.
3. What Are You Looking Forward To Before The End Of 2013?
Going to Cancun with my friends next month!
4. What Are Your Hopes For Your Blog?
That people read it and enjoy my little life adventures.
5. Do You Always See Yourself Living In Your Current Town/City?
Nope. We just moved to our apartment in May and we're already talking about looking for a house.
6. What Is Your Morning Routine?
I wake up almost every morning to the 'Alarm' sound on my iPhone, turn on the TV to CBS (I don't know why, but I enjoy CBS This Morning), take a shower, get dressed, do my hair, have a cup of coffee and then drive to work.
