Craving Adventure | Places To Visit In 2016...

Those of you that have been around for awhile know that I absolutely love me an adventure, especially in the form of a day trip. And despite all of our X-File binge watching as of late, Justin and I have been thinking about random day trips and activities we can do once the weather gets warmer.

So this is my little list as of right now...
In addition to these things, Phil and I have been talking about the possibility of some out of state adventures. Once we iron those out I'll definitely revisit the topic.

Even though these are just a few things we are contemplating doing in the up coming months, I thought I'd share them with you so maybe you can get an idea for your own day trip/activity or maybe you can recommend one for me to go on with Justin, Phil or whomever.

Here is a list of activities we've done and places we've visited in the past with the blog posts (That is, if I wrote one) about them for those of you thinking about wandering around New York this year...

What Is On My iPhone?...

I was watching a random channel on YouTube and the person doing the video mentioned that she'd post a "What's On My iPhone" video. Intrigued, I watched it and began to search YouTube for more "What's On My iPhone" videos to see if it was really a thing and it is! So I thought, what the hell I can do that on my blog!

Honestly, I'm really doing it because I know I'm interesting in learning about new apps and I thought maybe I have something on my iPhone that one of you have never heard of or wanted to know something about. So, here is what is on my iPhone...
While going through and taking pictures of all of my apps to show you guys I noticed how many of them should be in other folders and that there are a bunch that I don't even use. Like a lot of my games I don't actually play, the majority of them are played by Justin's sisters or my friend's daughter (I mainly play Words With Friends, Scramble With Friends and Draw Something).

My Most Used Apps:
  • Instagram
  • Echofon
  • Facebook
  • Foursquare
  • YouTube
If anyone was wondering, my background is a picture of a key hole that I took at the Vanderbilt Museum about two years ago. It has been my background photo since practically day one of having my phone and I refuse to change it. It's also the photo that pops up when I turn my phone on.

So, what are your favorite apps? I'd love some suggestions.

Vanderbilt Museum Revisited...

I wanted to post some more of the pictures I took while I was at the Vanderbilt Museum yesterday and give a little background information.

The Vanderbilt Museum is located in Centerport, New York in Suffolk County. It consists of forty-three acres of land that was donated to Suffolk County after the passing of William K. Vanderbilt II in 1944 -- Two million dollars was also left to the county for the upkeep of the grounds and mansion.

The museum consists of the mansion which houses fine art and furnishings, natural history specimens (including a 32 foot whale shark), a mummy, etc. There is also a marine museum on the property, a boathouse, a planetarium (which was added in 1971 by the county), a seaplane hanger and more.

It is a really beautiful place to visit, I'm really glad we went and I'm so happy that it was such a nice day.

Vanderbilt Museum...

I was supposed to work today, but one of my coworkers needed me to switch with them so I got the day off. Because it was such a lovely day Justin and I went to the Vanderbilt Museum & Planetarium. Here are some of the 100+ pictures I took throughout the course of our four hour visit to the summer mansion of William K. Vanderbilt II (1878-1944).
