So my wedding is two weeks from Saturday and up until recently I haven't had to deal with much gossip and/or people running their mouths about stuff they don't know about in terms of my wedding at the library. But for some reason as of the last week I've had people come up to me questioning my guest list, people who I don't even care for texting other people asking about my wedding and I also found out that "Julia" was questioning "Emily" as to if she is attending or not. So as you can all guess, I'm super annoyed.
But I think the person who came up to me and questioned my guest list pissed me off the most. The individual in question started asking me if I invited the library director and my department head, and acted like I was hiding something from them. Like I secretly invited everyone but them and a handful of others, which is far from the truth. I have a total of thirty-five people attending my wedding and only one person coming to the actual ceremony has ever worked with me and that is "Favorite Page #1" -- I did invite "Favorite Page #2" and "Favorite Page #3" out barhopping along with Lenni and one other person. All of my other guests are family members and friends.
I just don't understand why anyone would think I was lying about who I invited to my wedding. Especially since I've said more than once that I wish that I was having a bigger wedding so I could invite everyone -- Not necessarily they person who was asking these questions though. So being grilled annoyed me beyond belief.
It's crap like this that made me take off the whole week before my wedding and decide to not come in the three work days between my wedding and honeymoon. I knew that these people would eventually start to frustrate the shit out of me and I'm glad I went with my gut.
Two weeks ago Justin and I had a little engagement photo shoot using holi powder (The paint powder they use for The Color Run) shot by "Favorite Page #1" and Erin. Since I obviously can't show you the pictures with both Justin and I (I'm really bummed about this because some of them were awesome) here are some of me and/or mine and Justin's hands.
I love the way my pictures came out with the exception of the fact that we didn't get big clouds of holi powder. I think it was too humid out and the powder kinda clumped up. If I was to ever use holi powder again (Which I would like to) I'd blend it before using it.
So, this is my seventh day working this week and it's been eventful but not all at the same time.
"Favorite Page #1" had her final day working at the library this past week, which caused some drama because "Julia" is a ridiculous fifty-four-year-old woman who cries when people don't ask her to order lunch.
I had to attend and speak at the local middle school's career day, which you all know I love so much...
And finally, today I had a lunch date planned with Day and on her way to the library she found an abandoned dog. So I drove her and the dog (Whom we affectionately named Mrs. Scruffy) to a local animal shelter so they could help the poor dog out.
So yeah, those are some of the little highlights from my insanely tiring week.

8. I buy fresh flowers for the apartment every week.
9. I have textural issues and can't eat certain foods.

24. I curse like a sailor.
25. My default ringtone is "Pardon Me" by Incubus.
26. Up until the other day my text tone was the sound of the TARDIS from Doctor Who ("Favorite Page #1" has the same text tone and since she is back from college for the summer I changed mine).

38. I don't have actual recipes for anything that I cook, that is why you guys get vague recipes from me.
39. I think something is wrong every time Justin calls me because he typically e-mails or texts me.
40. I have an older half sister.
41. If I could I'd skip my lunch break so I could leave work early everyday.
42. Despite what I write I do try sometimes to be nice-ish to "Julia" but that is so she can't claim I'm a total asshole to her.
43. In a few days I'll have graduated high school ten years ago.
44. People at my job can't spell my last name even though I've worked in the place for nine years.
45. I don't eat beef or chicken and the only pork I eat is bacon.
46. I use Pinterest for work, thus I get paid to play on Pinterest.
47. Most of my friends don't even know my coworkers' real names. They call them "Julia" & so on.
48. I try hard not to curse on my blog, but I curse like a sailor over on Twitter.
49. I drive a fifteen year old car.
50. I call rabbits bun-buns.
It's Okay...
♥ To buy a new outfit for every occasion that pops up (i.e. - Bar hopping in NYC, bachelorette parties, etc)
♥ I wish it was Friday after 5PM so I can go hang out with "Favorite Page #1"
♥ To not be happy about having to do a storytime in a weird location
♥ To yell sometimes
♥ To sleep in until almost 12PM on a Sunday
♥ To not want to ask a coworker if they want to order lunch because you hate them
♥ To hate having to listen to voicemails
♥ Wishing that the winter was over and it was summer time
♥ To spend $100+ on a tanning salon package
♥ Only checking Facebook when an alert pops up about "important" people you stalk comes up
♥ To do linkup posts while at work
Today I got to see "Favorite Page #1" for the first time in what has seemed like forever. The two of us spent the day roaming around thrift stores looking for an ugly Christmas sweater for my sister (She is having ugly Christmas sweater day at her job on Friday and didn't have time to look for something to wear), as well as whatever other awesome things that we stumbled across.
We also gave @exlibris' thrift store gore bingo (You can find my previous post about it here and her post here) a go.
We found some things that slightly differed from the exact items on the list that we thought should count. Like the D.I.Y. mug thingy that had a picture of someones grandparents still inside of it, as well as the bag of knives, etc.
Even though we had a great time with each other, I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have like to with her. I told her that we'd do something else before she heads back to college for her spring semester. I can't wait.
I spent this fine evening hanging out with "Favorite Page #1" and getting some time in with her before she heads back to college next week. We originally had planned to watch Labyrinth (1986) at my house and eat Mexican popcorn, but while reading my current issue of Nylon the other day I saw that there was a movie about Marie Antionette playing called Les Adieux à la Reine or Farewell, My Queen (2012) and I talked her into going to see it. Before going to the theater we hit up a cupcake shop that was on the way and bought a couple of cupcakes to smuggle in with us (Let them eat cake!). We got to the theater a bit early so we had to wait in the lobby until the girl told us we could come in (We went to a really tiny theater that plays indie flicks). Eventually we got in, watched the movie and discussed the movie on the drive home. The movie was interesting. I enjoyed it very much so, but I always tend to enjoy the foreign language movies. Do I think most people would have enjoyed it? No. It was in French and a bit odd, but I'm weird so I liked it.
I swear I cannot stand "Julia" one bit. I was having a conversation with "Favorite Page #1" and our night custodian (He is this loud Sicilian-American guy who is funny as hell) about my weekend and how the trip went, obviously "Julia" was being a creeper and eavesdropping. While talking about it I had mentioned that I wasn't a fan of Phil's sister's boyfriend, blah blah blah. This caused our custodian to start cracking jokes about how mean I am and that I have different levels of mean, etc. We continue talking and joking around when "Julia" looks at me and asks me how I've managed to keep out of jail. Really?!?!! I wanted to smack her. What is wrong with her?! She needs to not speak to me anymore because she makes me angry every time she opens her mouth.
"Favorite Page #1" posted this on my Facebook wall. It amused me even though it is inaccurate because to my knowledge Jason never skinned anyone, that was Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974).
As an early birthday present I took "Favorite Page #1" out for tea today -- I'm going to be away around the time of her actual birthday, so I thought since I was free today that I'd take her out for an early celebration. We went to a tea place here on Long Island (It was too hot to head into New York City) and shared a lovely English tea for two. We got two pots of tea, tons of tea sandwiches, scones and other goodies. It was all really good and super yummy. During tea we talked about randomness (i.e. - Library stuff, zombies,
etc.) and just had a really nice time together. It was a great way to
spend the afternoon. I can't wait to do it again.
Today "Favorite Page #1" came back from college, so as soon as I got off from work at 9:00pm I picked her and her friend from college up and we all went to a local coffee/tea place.
We just had tea and snacks, talked about randomness for a while and we went home. It wasn't anything crazy, but it was nice to see her again and I can't wait for her to start working at the library for the summer.
"Favorite Page #1" had posted this list of books deemed test worthy by an AP literature thingy on her blog, so I decided to see how many this English degree holder/librarian has read.

19 out of 228 I suck. I mean I've started several books that I didn't mark off, but I obviously never finished them. I guess I should pick my great work of literature off this list so I can cross another thing off of my "No Regrets" list.
